The nature of the guidance
Everything published here is editorial opinion and general guidance about garment fit and wardrobe planning. It is not a professional fitting service, and it is not advice about any individual garment on any individual body.
Measurement bands quoted in the editorial are compiled from published size charts and garment specifications. Manufacturers revise blocks between seasons and tolerances vary between production runs, so a figure that was accurate when recorded may not describe the garment you receive. Always check the measurements published for the specific item.
What is not claimed
Except where an article explicitly states otherwise, nothing on this site should be read as a claim that a garment has been purchased, worn or tested by the publication. Phrases such as “based on published measurements”, “editor researched” and “fit guidance” are used literally and are not stand-ins for firsthand testing.
Purchasing decisions remain yours. We accept no liability for a garment that does not fit, a retailer that changes its sizing, or an alteration that costs more than expected.
Third-party links
The site links to external pages for two different reasons, and the distinction matters. Most are citations: the page a figure was read from, linked so you can check it. Some may in future be commercial links that earn a commission, and those will be marked as sponsored and introduced by a disclosure above the recommendation. There are none today.
Either way, those sites are not under our control. Their content, pricing, availability, stock, delivery, returns and privacy practices are their own responsibility, and a link is not a warranty that a garment exists, fits, remains in stock, or arrives.
Anything you buy is a contract between you and that retailer. This publication is not a party to it, does not process your payment, and cannot resolve an order, a refund or a return on your behalf. Their terms apply to the purchase, not ours.
Using our content
Articles, guides, directory data, photography and downloadable resources are the publication’s work and remain its property.
Quoting a short extract with a clear credit and a link back is welcome. Republishing whole articles, reproducing the directory data as a dataset, or redistributing purchased resources is not.
Changes to these terms
These terms will be replaced in full before the site is published. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
